But we beat the weather in high style!
The menu this year was chicken, hummus and green salad, finished by L's great lemon pie.
Organic chicken parted in 8 pieces cooked in the oven with olive oil, lemon (cut in pieces), garlic, herbs, a bit of white wine, s/p. Bread to suck up the juices. (the cutout bones and wings were made into a great stock to be kept in the freezer for later use)
Hummus; chick peas (two cups or one can), garlic (3 cloves), chili (one chili with seeds, deseed if wanted), lemon (juice and zest of one half, perhaps a bit more), yoghurt (3 spoonfuls), tahini (2 spoonfuls), cumin and coriander roasted shortly (one part cumin to two parts coriander seeds), s/p. Blend. New carrots and cucumber sticks.
Green salad made from romaine, fennel and red onion. The fennel and red onion cut on the mandolin. A great tool!!! Fines good dressing of balsamico, olive oil and other nice stuff
Garganega, Falesco, 2010 7,5/10
The grande finale; fm Lis' lemon tart
Then the rain came. And thus we only got to see half of Holberg's 'Henrik og Pernille' but of what we did see the acting and scenography was very good and we were laughing out loudly! Luckily we know how it all ends and the interruption did not ruin our sleep...
